My Approach

My interest in helping adults ADHD comes from my personal and professional experience. Like many of my clients, I spent years trying to make sense of myself, wondering why things felt harder than they should.

If you’ve been diagnosed as an adult, you’ve likely spent decades feeling misunderstood. You may have asked yourself:

-Why do my relationships struggle?

-Why do I fall short when I work so hard?

-Why does everything feel like too much?

The answer isn’t about effort. It’s about executive function and emotional regulation. ADHD therapy can help you move past blame and regret.

When adults find out that they have a diagnosable and treatable condition, they can separate the fact that they have ADHD from who they are.

ADHD Isn’t Just About Attention

Most people think ADHD means you can’t focus or remember things. But as you know, it goes beyond that.

ADHD impacts how your brain manages times, emotions and decision-making. It can make you impulsive, disorganized or emotionally reactive-even when you know what you “should” do. That disconnect between intention and action is familiar to people with ADHD.

People with ADHD live in “now” time. The past feels irrelevant, and the future feels far away. It’s hard to see the consequences until they hit. That’s not a character flaw-it’s neurology.

What Happens in ADHD Therapy?

Therapy with me is direct, compassionate and grounded in knowledge and experience. We’ll focus on tools that actually work; this will help you overcome shame and self-judgment. I make use of insight therapy, CBT and more.

Together, we’ll work on:

-Healing the past: Making peace with old wounds, regret, and self-blame

-Executive function: Creating systems that help you start, follow through, and finish

-Daily overwhelm: Tackling “doom piles,” missed deadlines, impulse spending, and more

-Emotional regulation: Coping with big feelings, stress, and sudden emotional shifts

-Rejection Sensitivity (RSD): Managed the pain of perceived criticism and disconnection

-Family patterns: Understanding ADHD in your family, even if it is not yet diagnosed.

Many clients also use therapy to find a better-fit career, create structure at home, and navigate relationship that finally feel like a good match for who they really are.

You’re Not Broken. Your Brain Just Works Differently.

ADHD therapy isn’t about trying harder. It’s about doing things differently – in a way that works for your nervous system.
